Hwew, I'm pretty tired. I've been at this cottage with one of my friends from Saturday until today and we've been doing typical norwegian-winter-vacation stuff such as slalom, playing cards and board games and staying up late. Way to late.

Haha! I haven't tried slalom since the sixth or seventh grade and I was pretty rubbish the first day. Fell a dozen times. And heck, how my feet hurt when we got home to the cottage! The pain was awful. My feet aren't used to use those muscles I used, so it was nearly no fun. And besides, I crashed with a tree and got me this (currently) yellow, big bruise on my upper forearm. If that wasn't enough, the bindings on the skis were not properly set to my weight so the skis kept detaching themselves from my feet all the time. We managed to get it fixed pretty quick though, so it went all right.

The second day was so much more fun. First of all, we chose routes that weren't too hard for me. In fact, I think I did pretty well. Second, our feet had grown more accustomed to wearing the boots so it almost didn't hurt except when we took them off. Lastly, the weather was better. (: It was amazing standing on the peak of Norefjell and just looking around. Incredible how far and how much you could see.

We also met someone we know. Or, not as such, but three kids from our school. Some stupid had pressed the emergency-stop button after the lift had stopped (*facepalm*)'cause of something and the dude that was operating the lift had to fix it manually. In the meantime my friend and I was standing in line and behind us those kids were standing. I was absentmindedly doodling on the front of my skis until Ida (that's my friend) asked what the "S" stood for. I said it was for my lover, Kjetil (ya, joking here people). Then she said "But that's not how you spell it", and I told her it was spelled Skjettil. We had a good laugh.
Later, when the lift was working again and we were in the middle of it, she told me that one of the kids behind us from school was named Kjetil. I laughed really, really loud. I'm still kinda wondering how he'll react the next time he sees me. xD
