The more I think about it, the sadder Heath Ledger's death makes me. I saw
this icon today and I almost started crying. The worst part is that I am undoubtedly affected by the huge media coverage his death got. He was always an actor I liked, but if someone asked me to name my favourite actor, he would probably not be on the list. He definitely is now. I've been checking out movies he's played in after his death, and he is an amazing actor (may I be as bold as to compare him to Johnny Depp?). It just makes me sad that someone so great could pass away that easily.
Another interesting observation: I'm playing Beethoven!? How the fudge did I get that good on piano? Okay, so I'm not very good at playing the song yet, but I'll probably be able to play it decently in a month + (I'm terrible at practicing and with all the stuff that's going on and the mountainous amount of homework I'm getting I practially don't have a life anymore). It's funny, cause I had a period where I didn't practice at all, and my mom was actually considering persuading me to quit. I'm glad she didn't. I dream of one day being able to make music, and although that's a farfetched goal there is a remote possibility when I'm actually playing an instrument.
Russian is incredible! I love that subject to bits and pieces. I'm having a bit trouble with the different ch - ts - tsj - z - etc. sounds, but otherwise than that I'm severely impressed by the rate my class have learnt the alphabet.
Emilie Autumn is coming to Norway! Ooooh yay! Best part is that she's coming to this tiny club and tickets are ridiculously cheap in comparison to most concerts over here. I've found out that small venues are really fun. Was at one yesterday where a friend of mine and his band were supposed to play, but the vocalist/bass player got sick, so the drummer and guitarist (my friend) got hold of a trombone player and improvised. I've never laughed that hard on a gig before, God XD Also, I partially saw the set of this band whose name I cannot remember (OK, I found out: Power Chain) but they were sorta cool.
bokhylle, when Veera comes, wanna go see them? They're playing at UrraRock which is at Uranienborg skole. Gotta discuss it with her too, of course.
